Transportation and Communities Summit 2019 (September 19 - 20, 2019 at Portland State University) This annual event in Portland, Oregon connects national mobility-focused research to equitable practice and policy through breakout panels, Lightning Talks, student posters, skill-building workshops, and a keynote from urban data scientist Ben Wellington.

Stef is a design scientists and creator of Green Crane Innovation, a design consultancy specializing in sustainable design and climate communications. Stef uses nature journaling as part of her design process in the practice of Biomimicry or bio-inspired design. Through this practice, she works to conceptualize human solutions based on nature's problem solving strategies. She teaches Biomimicry and Sustainable Design.

Stef teaches a course called Design Futures and Ecologies in the MA of Collaborative Design program at Pacific Northwest College of Art as Intro to Biomimicry for Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Stef’s portfolio spans workshop facilitation, visual communications, and design for educational content. She works across industries and alongside corporations, foundations, non-profits, start-ups, community organizations and local governments. Clients include Fiat-Chrysler Automotive, Autodesk, Nike Foundation, Portland Public Schools, Context Partners, multiple universities, and more.
